Our First Ever Family Fun Day

On August 9th, Kings Oak Primary School into a vi= vibrant hub of joy and excitement as we hosted our much-anticipated Family Fun Day with over 150 people joining us for a day filled with activities and community spirit. The weather was perfect, making it an ideal day for families to come together and enjoy the various attractions.

Our goal for the event was to engage families and strengthen our community ties, and we’re pleased to report that we achieved just that. The face painting station was a hit with children, the cake sale and tombola were equally popular, with an array of delicious homemade treats and a variety of prizes, many donated by generous local businesses and community members. We also had a bouncy castle, parkour and sports activities, and food options including pizza and ice cream. It was heartening to see so many people participating and enjoying these activities.

A special thank you goes to everyone who donated prizes, cakes, and money, as well as those who supported us on the day. Your contributions were essential to the event’s success and greatly appreciated.

In all we had 12 community interest groups involved in the event, contributed valuable information, time and resources, helping to foster a sense of connection and support within our community.

We look forward to hosting more events like this in the future and continuing to build and strengthen our community bonds. Thank you to everyone who made the Family Fun Day a memorable and enjoyable occasion.
